Lutheran Confirmation

Confirmation is a two-year process for students beginning in Grade 7.

For Lutherans, Confirmation is a public affirmation of a person's baptismal faith through a process of catechesis (questions and answers) and training in the basics of our faith.

Pastor leads our 7th and 8th Grade Confirmation students through an in-depth study of the Bible and Martin Luther's Small Catechism.  At the end of this 2-year study, the students are questioned publicly in front of the congregation.  Following this successful completion, the students are then Confirmed through the Rite of Confirmation, which includes their receiving Holy Communion.  This generally occurs on Palm Sunday.

Info

Confirmation instruction meets Wednesdays 3:45PM to 5:00PM with Pastor for grades 7-8.
