:  "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever" (Hebrews 13:8).  The message of Jesus Christ and the salvation of
all mankind is a constant and the task that we are to be about, as shepherd and flock, centers on that message of redemption.
And while the message is the same, it is never old hat or boring or irrelevant.  As we look together into the community that God has called us
to live within and serve, we can see that there will be not shortage of those who need to hear and see the gospel in both Word and deed.
I look forward, with great joy, to serving you as pastor in Word and sacrament ministry.  I am excited about what lies in our future together
as witnesses to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  And I am eager to role up those spiritual sleeves and get to work.

My prayer in all this is that God grant us strength, wisdom, and humility in all that we endeavor to accomplish in His Name and to His glory.
